Goodbye to 2010 and Hello to 2011!
I have been wanting an herbal medicine kit for a while now and I got one for Christmas! We have been taking Elderberry juice to help with cold and flu and I have an echinacea tincture on the counter. Yesterday I made the healing salve. It is made from olive oil steeped with herbs and then add beeswax. It was really fun and while I don't want anyone to get hurt, I am prepared to use it!
Christmas at our house. Jaclyn is missing in the pictures because she could care less about presents, LOL! The boys each get three gifts, although there is usually more than one thing in a box. Books, movies and games were the items requested. The biggest surprise for my oldest was the Heat jersey! J got a Kinect for the Xbox that we all had fun playing. I have to say I am still sore from the boxing game!
I have been on a huge peppermint kick lately. I LOVE candy canes!! My husband brought this home the other day! Yes it's huge... two pounds!!!!!!
Lights on the Christmas Tree
My husband got a call around 3:30 am telling him he needed to come in to plow roads. The storm wasn't supposed to hit until 9:00. When I got up at 7 this is what I saw.... after it was all done we got about 4 inches!

Step 3 was to dip into chocolate. I completely forgot to take the final picture! Whoops!!
My son's cub scout party was this week. The theme was a Seussical Christmas. They had to come up with an Seuss type table decoration. The boys did an awesome job and were very creative. We had things from the Cat's hat (my sons) to the Roast Beast. Great job boys!
Can you guess what we made?

Ok, this last one I almost didn't share. The child does own a coat of his own, but he wants to wear one that his Grandpa gave us and his Dad's work hat. He looks like a hillbilly, LOL!!!
