For our first day of school, I took the kids to the park. I wanted to get their school pictures taken but that wasn't all.... Love playing around with Shutter speed. I have been wanting to try this for a long time!

Sorry I have been MIA this week. I am in the middle of lesson planning, plus teaching a photography class to Cub Scouts and shooting a 50th Wedding Anniversay/Family Reunion. Here are a few shots from the Cub Scouts.
The Sphere of Color color parade on Pix-o-Sphere is pink this week (yes, that was a mouthful). Here is my pink!
I got a chance to spend this past weekend doing some fun things for me! Its always nice to get some time alone and regroup! A friend of my family is a papermaker and was hosting a class so I signed up. It was at a local farm -turned- park. I really enjoyed the class and love how my paper turned out, but I have decided to stick with photography!! ;-)
This is totally blown out and the are facing the sun but I thought it was cute and caught their attitudes!
Friends!
Well I went and did it again! Its not like I don't have a ton to do already.....
Our local orchard had apples and pears for sale! I just couldn't resist!!!!
Yesterday was my youngest kiddo's 8th birthday! We went to the park and had a baseball party. Yes we actually played baseball! Jeremiah wanted to be a captain so had one of his Uncle's be the other. He worked it out where it was the youngsters against the old-timers! Much to his surprise the old-timers kicked their booties!!!!! We all had a blast.... Jeremiah said it was his best birthday ever!
I have been wanting to catch up on the monthly assignments even though they are late but I have been SO busy! All I have seen is garden produce and canning jars. On top of that I got a virus on my computer yesterday. Anyway here is my attempt at playing catch-up!
I have been peeling, seeding, and dicing all day! I started with salsa, which turned out pretty good. Then I made some speghetti sauce. I have been saving up my roma tomatoes just for this moment! I went through 50 tomatoes just for the sauce, letting them cook down for over an hour. Guess how many jars I have for my pantry......
